Hello, everyone. Some time back when laurelote was looking for folks to tend to the community she built, caras_galadhon and I volunteered. Many apologies to all for taking so long to introduce ourselves and say that we're both very happy to be here. We know that it has been some time since LOTR was released and that the fandom has grown a bit smaller and quieter in the last few years (although we're hoping that the release of The Hobbit this year will cause new fans to come to LOTR fandom).

However, we'd like to hear from all of you about what you'd like to see happening in the community to make us more active. To that end, I've made a very quick poll, and I'd appreciate it if you could take a few moments to respond. Even if you aren't one for polls, a quick comment about what you'd like to see would also be welcome. While the poll looks mostly at community activities, if people are interested in any tweaks to the community guidelines or other administrative things, do let us know. I've screened comments to the post, so feel free to brainstorm or comment freely. Honestly, all ideas and suggestions are appreciated and welcome.

Normally I´m rather a drawer than a writer but now and then the muse raids me without a warning. However, my language skills are anything but trustworthy, so it would be a relief if there was a native speaker kind enough to spend her/his spare time going through my latest fic. It´s not such a big deal, about 1.950 words, no porn (not even a hint of it which is definitely not on purpose. I could read NC-17 stuff 24 hours a day, no idea why I´m obviously unable to produce it XD). So, if you´re in the mood to spend a really boring hour or two, I would be very happy! :)

I challenge anyone to pair Faramir with… Legolas, I think, in a story that contains at least three – green – apples (possible more, but definitely green), a huge mirror, a tiny book and one boot. Absolutely no mpreg and no dogs allowed! There’s no need to take this request seriously at all but all items must appear. And it doesn’t have to be a steamy romance either… as long as the apples are green.*
